Techniques and Services Include:
-Trigger Point Therapy - We all have them! "Knots." The technical term for these knots are trigger points. I have the special touch in dissipating these trigger points. By doing so, the muscle that once housed them becomes less tight, pain is relieved and range of motion is restored.
-Myofascial Release - The techniques of Myofascial release allows for the facial system to become untangled. Think of a sweater snag. What happens when there is a snag? The shape of the sweater becomes displaced. If I smooth out the "snag" of your fascia, a more efficient posture can be achieved. You will feel better, your energy will increase and pain will be dissipate.
-Hydrotherapy - This is the therapeutic use of hot or cold in a treatment session. There are many uses and benefits to using hydrotherapy alongside massage therapy. If I sense your body could benefit from its use, you will always be informed ahead of time, and have the right to deny it. Hydrotherapy is included with the cost of treatment.
-Sports Massage - useful in treating any athlete, focusing on areas of tightness.
-Joint mobilization - The purpose of joint mobilization is to restore joint mobility and flexibility. Can be applied to the spine and other joints, such as knee, shoulder, hip, ankles, elbow, wrist, SI joint. Joint Mobilization is very effective in increasing the range of motion of an injured limb. It is also used to restore proper joint alignment.
-Hold/Relax Stretching - This is helpful in really stretching out all the fibers of a muscle in a deep and impactful way. You will be engaged to be a part of the stretching at times.
-Friction Therapy - A very effective technique in those suffering from Tendinitis or other adhesions. Cold therapy will always be applied directly after frictions as there is a secondary reaction of inflammation.
-Manual Lymphatic Drainage - For anyone suffering from swelling or inflammation in the body. A very subtle and gentle massage is appropriate and will promote drainage to take place.
-Pregnancy - The treatment is tailored to exactly what stage of pregnancy is presented and the associated symptoms of that stage. The top priority being your comfort.
Should I recommend any of the above techniques or services for your massage, they are all included with the cost of treatment. All techniques are explained in detail before your massage.
